SPECIAL GATHERINGS
We explore a spiritual text, story or concept, followed by facilitated conversation and singing together.
A spiritual practices shared, followed by a chance to participate in it and facilitated conversation.
We explore a topic, followed by an extended time for conversation. Snacks are often involved.
We gather to complete a service project together as an outward expression of love.
When a 5th Sunday occurs in the month, we reserve it for special gatherings such as a potluck, decided closer to the date.
WHAT'S TAP?
Tap is a casual gathering of First Presbyterian Bend for those who long to explore and talk about spirituality in a spacious environment, where curiosity and inclusivity are at the heartbeat of our time together. Each week we gather to wonder and dialogue together over a different theme (and a cold drink!), sharing our stories and learning from one another through our questions.
We follow what we call a "weekly rhythm", with a slightly different focus for each Sunday of the month, which reflects the diversity of our community. You can read more about our rhythms here.
All are welcome. Childcare is available for children 4 and under. Drinks are on us! (read: free beer, cider & kombucha!)

WELCOME STATEMENT
You are welcome in this space whether church feels easy or hard; if you have felt a connection to God for a long time or feel cut off and distant; if you feel uncertain about the path you are on or are just exploring a spiritual connection for the first time.
We embrace diversity.

We hold a posture of curiosity.
We affirm one another as spiritual teachers.
We affirm the many gifts of children and people of all abilities.
We love having kids at Tap! We currently offer childcare for ages 4 and under in our staffed play center. Older children are invited to participate in an art project in the Wonder Room. However, kids are always welcome to remain with their parents in our main gathering. We provide some quiet activities for them in the space (as well as kid friendly drinks and snacks) and welcome their engagement in our conversation and time together, as well.
